We are proud to share with you this Song Around The World in honor of the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary. Our friends at JamBase asked us to turn the Grateful Dead’s 1970 classic, “Ripple” into a PFC Song Around the world as part of their “Songs Of Their Own” series…

  1. this is SOOOOO Wonderful. I hold Ripple very dear to my heart and this brought me to tears. And David Crosby sounds like a cross between Jerry Garcia and Willie Nelson! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  2. If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music?
Would you hold it near as it were your own?

    It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken
    Perhaps they're better left unsung
    I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air

    Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
    Nor wind to blow

Reach out your hand, if your cup be empty
If your cup is full, may it be again
Let it be known there is a fountain
That was not made by the hands of men

There is a road, no simple highway
Between the dawn and the dark of night
And if you go, no one may follow
That path is for your steps alone

    Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
    Nor wind to blow

You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall you fall alone
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home …

  3. THAT was wonderful! A couple months ago there was a memorial service held for a dear friend who had passed away. At the end of the service, cards were handed out with the lyrics to "Ripple" and all of the attendees sang it in Will's memory. This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for posting this.

  4. I have listened and watched "Ripple" four times and that means four times my heart has been lifted. This touches me deeply and puts me in touch with all of you gracious musicians. Accepting the gift of this song we become a unity and Good Will pours over us all like a balm. Now I know it is One World and we are all in wistful, loving, tender, fragile union. Long may it flourish.
